Mr. Guy Green

Guy Green, age 83, of Steele, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at Village Chapel Funeral Home. Reverends Kyle Blakely and Jack Washington will officiate. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Steele Cemetery. Guy was born on May 30, 1942, on Chandler Mountain. He earned his diploma from the Alabama School of Trade and worked faithfully for 30 years as a machinist. He was a hardworking provider who took pride in his craft and in caring for his family. A devoted member of his church, Guy faithfully served the Lord as an ordained deacon. He was a God-fearing man who boldly shared the Gospel and lived his faith daily. He loved his family deeply and set the very best example of what it means to be a Christian husband, father, and grandfather. Though he will be missed beyond measure, we rejoice in knowing he is healed and in the presence of his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierce and Ruby Green; his brothers, Chester Green, Talmadge Green, Jerry Green, William Green, Troy Green, and Buddy Green; his sisters, Bonnie Deweese and Mary Simmons; and his grandchildren, Easton and Presley Vandevander. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elaine Green; his children, Kim (Mark) Mullinax and Jason (Laura) Green; sisters Patricia (Ronnie) Warren, Mattie Sue Conn, brother Rex (Donna) Green, his grandchildren, Lori Partee, Alex (Kaitlyn) Vaughn, Callie (Zach) Page, Camron and Cody Ensign; and his great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Jaxson Partee, Weston and Skylar Vaughn, Bo Walker, and Lucas and Tatum Page, sister-in-law Sue Green and brother-in-law Charles Simmons. Along with a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mark Mullinax, J.J. McGinnis, B.J. Price, Quinn Martin, Camron Ensign, and Cody Ensign. Honorary pallbearers include his nieces and nephews, along with the deacons and members of Steele Baptist Church. Daddy’s presence will be missed greatly, but we rest in the peace of knowing he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior, completely healed. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the Steele Fire Department for their assistance over the years, ProHealth Home Health, the PCU 3rd Floor staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center, Station 3 caregivers at Gadsden Health Care, and the therapy department at Gadsden Health Care for their compassionate care.
