Mr. Steve Griffith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Village Chapel, for Steve Griffith, age 63, of Gadsden, who passed away Friday, September 10, 2021. Reverends Wayne and Jeremy Griffith will officiate. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Griffith was employed by Republic Steel for 13 yrs. He was an avid nascar fan and dirt track racing. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. Steve loved Alabama football, hunting, and collecting guns. He enjoyed spending time on his porch with his furbaby Rowdy and with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Steve proudly served 13 years in the Alabama Army National Guard. Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by his father, Larry E. Griffith. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Griffith; children, Bryan (Misty) Griffith and Todd Barron; step-children, Brittney (Jon) Maxwell, Bailey (Jordan) Whitmore, Blake (Morgan) Maxwell; mother, Jean Griffith; sister, Kim (Greg) Jones; brother, Kenny (Pam) Griffith; grandchildren, Jada, Zara, Jagger, and Asher Griffith, Evangeline and Charlotte Whitmore. Honorary pallbearers will be: Co-workers from Republic Steel, President Donald Trump, Wayne and Shane Griffith and Bird Bellamy. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Drs. Asif Kaleem, Cesar Fernandez, and Allison Vann; nurses, Lyndsey and Jeremy. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
