Mrs. Ruby Hendrix Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020, at Village Chapel for Ruby Hendrix, 95, of Attalla, who died on July 10, 2020. Dr. Roger Beshears will officiate. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hendrix was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. D.E. Hendrix; parents, Oscar Oliver and Essie Boone Oliver; siblings, Helen Oliver, Jessie Oliver, Bernice (Stinson) Wilcox, Wilburn (Evelyn) Oliver, Mary (Howard) Roper, Oscar Oliver Jr., Sarah (Henry) Collins, Mildred Oliver, Billy Oliver, Robert (Gussie) Oliver, and Nell (Gordon) Wright. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Hendrix Beshears and husband Dr. Roger Beshears; son, Kelvin Hendrix of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Amy Beshears (Richard) Jennings, Lawrenceburg, TN, Chris (Heather) Beshears, Columbus, GA, Jonathan (B.J.) Beshears, Attalla, Molly (Drew) Bullard, Gaylesville, AL, Carrie (Chris) Speck, Lynn Haven, FL, and Christa (Luke) Benefield; great-grandchildren, Kyler Beshears, Kalena Beshears, Tripp Beshears, Samuel Jennings, Stephen Jennings, Natalie Bullard, Beau Beshears, Laurel Patterson, Laney Patterson, Keelin Benefield, Maddie Speck, and Bryden Speck. Pallbearers will be Chris Beshears, Jonathan Beshears, Kyler Beshears, Richard Jennings, and Luke Benefield. Flowers or green plants will be accepted. Special thanks to nurse Ashley, Krystal, and the staff of Kindred Hospice. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 12, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Village Chapel.
