Mr. Norman Lain Rice

March 1, 1960 - December 29, 2020

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday January 3, 2020, at Village Chapel, for Norman Lain Rice, age 60, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday December 29, 2020. Reverend Larry Perkins will officiate. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Lain was an avid fishing memorabilia collector and had acquired a sizeable collection from numerous contacts from all over the world. He was truly loved by his family and will be dearly missed. Mr. Rice was preceded in death by his father, Ulay Jay Rice; step-sister, Thereshia Fleming; grandparents, Alvin and Ruth Gant. He is survived by his wife, Kristie Rice; children, Heath Shores, Benjamin Hawk Rice, Dakota Rice, Felicia Hansard; mother, Willa Steeley; grandchildren, Zayden Rice, Ryleigh Rice, Benjamin Hawk Rice Jr., Maverick Lee Hansard; brothers, Michael Tolbert, Randall Tolbert, Harold (Donna) Tolbert, Darrold (Charlene) Tolbert; a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive live flower arrangements for the service.
