Mrs. Margaret "Gail" Brown

Graveside services will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Rainbow Memorial Gardens for Margaret “Gail” Brown, 65, Gadsden, who died Saturday, December 30, 2017. Reverend Jerry Ponder will officiate. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that enjoyed caring for her family above all else. She was always so generous, often sacrificing her own wants and needs to give to her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and over the years she owned and operated several restaurants in the area. She was a talented caterer and event planner, specializing in weddings. Her hobbies included home remodeling, decorating, and working in her yard and flower beds. She was loved dearly and will be missed sorely by all who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tiffany Jean Johnson; sisters, Elaine Higgins; and parents, Gaylord and Betty Gifford. She is survived by her husband, Donald Brown; children, Christa Marks and Tonya Brown; grandchildren, David (Kim) White, Sonya (Steven Martin) White, and Amanda (Cody Reaves) White; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Ray, Janice Quinn, Pat Gilley, and Linda Leek; brother, Leonard Gifford; and a large extended family. Pallbearers will be David White, Gary Brown, Steven Martin, Cody Reaves, Michael Whitt, and Jonathan Traylor. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Wednesday at Village Chapel.
