Mrs. Louise "Lucy" Kilgro Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022, at Village Chapel for Louise “Lucy” Kilgro, 94, of Gadsden, who died Thursday, January 6, 2022. Rev. Rodger Collins will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. She was a longtime member of Walnut Park Baptist Church. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Kilgro; parents, Maude and Carl Ridgeway; daughter, Jean Boatwright; granddaughter, Joanne Boatwright; sisters, Pat Wilburn and Peggy Gossett; and son-in-law, Lloyd Stark. She is survived by her children, Jim (Cathy) Kilgro, Cindy Stark, Linda Kilgro, and Jerry (Susie) Kilgro; son-in-law, Johnny Boatwright; grandchildren, Kevin (Christine) Kilgro, Kelli (Scott) Cornelius, Marc Kilgro, Shawn Kilgro, Jamie (Tony) Lister, Jeanie Ogle, and John Boatwright; great-grandchildren, Tanner Kilgro, Luke Kilgro, Jake Kilgro, Brodie Cornelius, Colton Cornelius, Kayla Ogle, Logan Ogle, and Lindsey (Dustin) Quinn; great-great-grandchild, Camden Quinn; chosen grandchildren, Hudson Taylor and Kade Sholar; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. Special thanks to Jamie Lister for always being there for her. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Monday.
