Mr. Jimmy Ray Perry

May 21, 1946 - December 21, 2020

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Village Chapel for Jimmy Ray Perry, 74, Attalla, who died Monday, December 21, 2020. Rev. Brandon Perry will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Jimmy enjoyed doing paint and body work on cars, and he also enjoyed collecting many different things. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be greatly missed. Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Alverson; parents, John and Vernie Perry; and brother, Johnny Perry. He is survived by his grandsons, Brandon Alverson, Wesley Alverson, and Dalton (Chelsey) Alverson; great-granddaughters, Stella and Kaytlin Alverson; special friend, Brenda Watwood; sister, Rita (James) Nail; son-in-law, Ronnie Alverson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brandon, Wesley, and Dalton Alverson, Charlie Harrell, Manuel Fitts, and James Nail. Special thanks to Attalla first responders, and to the staff of Riverview Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday.
