Mr. Jerry Franklin Elliott Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Crestwood Cemetery for Jerry Franklin Elliott, 84, who passed away January 20, 2022. Bro. Charlie Abercrombie will officiate. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Esther Elliott; infant daughter, Terri Gale Elliott; parents, Carl & Mildred Elliott; sister, June Cook; brother-in-law, John Cook, Sr.; and son-in-law, Greg Keel. He is survived by his children, Rhonda Elliott, Jerri Keel, Stephen (Diana) Elliott, Jennifer (Bubba) Teague, and Marty Elliott; grandchildren, Brandon (Kayla) Phillips, Jessica Phillips, Frank Burgett, Vivian (Cody) Cothran, Chase Elliott, Kaitilyn Decker, Kinsleigh Teague, and Corey Teague; great-grandchildren, Maddie and Alice Phillips, Jack Stuard, and Makenzie Cothran. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Phillips, Frank Burgett, Chase Elliott, Cody Cothran; son-in-law, Bubba Teague; and nephew, Johnny Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Cooper, Don Beard, Sonny Taylor and Mike Edwards. Lifelong resident of Gadsden, Jerry was so knowledgeable about so many things and was known as “the best mechanic to ever turn a wrench.” There was nothing that man couldn’t fix. He was always helping family, friends, and neighbors, never expecting anything in return. He truly had a heart of gold.
