Mrs. Janice M. Martin

March 16, 1936 - October 4, 2021

Mrs. Janice M. Martin 83, passed away peacefully at Union General Hospital in Blairsville, Ga. Oct 4, 2021 with family by her side. Janice was kept comfortable and well taken care of by some amazing people in their ER. Thank you Michael (RN) with UGH ER and hospice nurse Sheila Gordon. Big thanks to all the ER staff. Her care was exceptional and she was at ease Thanks to all of you. Janice joins her father and mother Emil and Mildred Muller and her brother Raymond Muller. Janice was born March 16, 1936. Janice is survived by her brother, Don (Jane) Muller; and her children Charles (Holly) Carnes, Paul (Marisela) Carnes, David Carnes, Mark (Beatrice) Carnes, John (Colette) Carnes, Lisa Carnes, Kim (Bobby) Larson. Janice was blessed with many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved them all. Special thanks to grandson Eric (Kayci) Martin who cared for her at home. Mrs. Martin served in the United States Air force. She was supporter of AM Vets and an active member of American Legion Post of Blairsville, Ga. She was also previous member in Springhill, FLA. where she spent most of her life. She traveled some but loved her special trip to Amsterdam to meet family. She was truly Dutch! Janice worked most of her life and enjoyed her retirement in the beautiful town of Blairsville, Ga. where she was surrounded by family. Visitation will be held at Village Chapel Funeral Home for family Thursday Oct. 7, 2021 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., then proceed to Unity Baptist Church, Attalla where graveside services will start at 11:30 a.m.
