Mr. Jamesion "Jamie" Lee Nance Sr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Village Chapel for Jamesion “Jamie” Lee Nance Sr., 52, of Gadsden. After a 5 year battle with cancer, he passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, with his family at his bedside. Bro. John Oliver will officiate. Burial will follow at Ramsey Cemetery. Jamie followed in his father’s footsteps and worked as a truck driver for 21 years. The last 11 years he worked for Koch Foods. He was a member of Lookout Mountain Volunteer Fire Department for several years. He never met a stranger, and he most enjoyed cooking and feeding people. Jamie was saved in 1997 and has worked for the Lord since. He was a member at Noccalula Church of God for many years. He kept his faith until the end, and was excited about the new body he would receive in Heaven. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Doris Nance; and mother-in-law, Shirley Tillman. Jamie is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angella Ramsey Nance; children, Jamesion (Alex) Nance Jr. and Ariel (Timothy) Wisdom; granddaughter, Heather Stafford; grandpuppies, Willow and Daisy; chosen children, Crystal and Casey Nance; brother, Billy (Amanda) Nance of Gadsden; sisters, Kathy (Lee) Omoso of Southside, Joan Richards of Gadsden, Brenda (Clifford) Bussard of Gadsden; mother-in-law, Ronda Duke; and father-in-law, Dale Ramsey. Pallbearers will be Jamesion Nance, Billy Nance, Casey Nance, Timothy Wisdom, Zac Marble, Lee Omoso, Howard Carroll III, and Paul Bowen. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Hancock and Scott Ogle. Special thanks to Paul and Wanda Bowen, Sherron Childress, 1st Care Medical, Dekalb Cancer Center, UAB Oncology, and Comfort Care Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Care Center of Dekalb. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.
