Frankie Snow Stout

Frankie Snow Stout passed away peacefully surrounded by her family October 1. 2023. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Village Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Village Chapel. Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Southside, AL. Frankie was the loving wife of 56 years to Howard and the wonderful caring mother to three children, Tammy, James, and Teresa. She was the proud grandmother to nine and great grandmother of eight, with one on the way. She was a substitute teacher for many years and loved each and every student as her own. Frankie was the perfect example of the Proverbs 31 lady. She was dearly loved by everyone she ever came in contact with and touched many lives with her sweet spirit and kind heart. She never failed to smile and share the hope and good news found in Jesus Christ. Mrs. Stout was a member at Cherry Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Howard; parents, Alfred and Lanie Snow; mother- and father-in-law, Frank and Lula Stout; brothers, Marvin, Millard, Al, Melvin, and Milton Snow; sister, Frances Brown; and a host of other family members. She is survived by her children, Tammy (Clay) White, James (Tori) Stout, Teresa (Brian) Peterson; grandchildren, Cassie (Jesse) Green, Corey (Kendall) White, Christopher (Alyssa) Stout, Chase (Kaylee) Stout, Christian Stout, Mason (Hope) Gore, Lauren Peterson, Tiffanie (Thomas) Crain, Candy Mize; great-grandchildren, Ava, Evan, Calum, Atley, Jack, Dutton, Carter, and Harper; and brother, Bobby (Dot) Snow. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Amy Black, a friend and caregiver, who provided so much love to us all. Also, a special thanks to Randy Nickels, who God placed in mom’s path, 17 months ago, to help after her wreck. We also would like to thank Gentiva Hospice, Amedisys Home Health, Centerwell Home Health, Dr. Karl Uy, the wonderful nurses and doctors at UAB, GRMC, RRMC, Gadsden Health and Rehab, and Encompass Health. She would want her legacy to remind all of us to put our faith in Christ and live for him. Through our sadness here on this earth, we can rejoice in her reunion with the Lord and Savior, and with our Daddy in Heaven.
