Mr. Charles "Charlie" Glenn
March 15, 1957 - January 31, 2022
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at Village Chapel, for Charles “Charlie” Ray Glenn, age 64, of Gadsden, who passed away January 31, 2022. Brothers Blake Edmonson, Daniel Boutwell and Kenneth Lasseter will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Glenn served in the United States Air Force and later retired from the Air National Guard 225th Combat Communications Squadron after 20 years service. He also retired, after 25 years, as a Commander from the Gadsden Fire Department. Mr. Glenn was employed for several years at Gadsden Fire Extinguisher and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Vicky Jane Morgan; brother, Dennis Glenn; granddaughter, Piper Rose Glenn. He is survived by his wife, Donna L. Glenn; sons, Nathaniel Glenn and Andrew Glenn; parents, Perry and Louise Glenn; mother and father-in-law, Johnny and Nancy Elsea; brother-in-law, Tommy Morgan. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Mayben, Jeff Elliott, Joe Battles, Scott Gregory, Randy Black and Steve Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be: City of Gadsden Fire Department, Mt. Pisgah Men’s Sunday School Class and the 225th Combat Communications Squadron. The family wishes to express a special thanks to nurse practitioner, Justin Zemo, Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, Dr. Akisanya, Gadsden Regional 8th floor, E.R. nurses and technicians, Advantage Ambulance E.M.S., Highland Vol. Fire Dept. and Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
