Pinky Lee Walker

Funeral services for Pinky Walker will be at 3 pm, Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Village Chapel Funeral Home. Pinky was 63 years young. She passed away on Wednesday, April 09, 2025. Brother Philip Elliott will officiate. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery Pinky had no children of her own but loved all her nieces and nephews like they were her own children. Her favorite pastime was listening to her Primitive Quartet which she followed in their travels for many years. She referred to this group of men as the “Boys”. She would always say, “ I am going to see the “Boys” this weekend. She loved them dearly. Pinky was born Oct 09,1961. She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene “Gene” Walker and Betty Ruth Ayers Walker and her grandparents Paul and Mary Lou Ayers, Ephraim Oliver Walker and Arie Elizabeth Cheatwood Walker. She is survived by her five siblings, Betty Jean (Leo) Lovell of Gadsden, AL Mary (Barry) Ratihn of Marion, VA, Peggy Vice of Southside, AL, Nancy Walker of Atlanta, GA and Robert “Bobby” Walker of Henagar, AL Her nieces and nephews are Shaneil Arrindell of Gadsden, AL, Kristual Giles Mansfield of Gadsden, AL, Mitchell (Christine) Mansfield of Dallas, TX, William Bundick of Marion, VA, Paul (Rosie) Bundick of Purcellville, VA, Valerie (David) Mason of Southside, AL Great nieces and nephews are Carla Arrindell of Tampa, FL, Christina (Dominick) Minaya of Tampa, FL, Austin (Yahaira) Arrindell of Tampa, FL, Kate, Matthew and Bennett Mansfield of Dallas, TX, Kendall Giles of Gadsden, AL, Natalie and Colton Stanford of Odenville, AL, D.J., Mya and Liam Bundick of Purcellville, VA. Pinky also has a host of great-great nieces and nephews and loved them all. Her special friends are Cindy Finlayson, Robyn & Zac Brown. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Mansfield(nephew), William Bundick(nephew), Barry Ratihn(brother-in-law), Matthew and Bennett Mansfield (great nephews), Kendall Giles(great nephew) and Zac Brown (adopted family). Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center, Dr Manankil, Dr. Goodwin and Southern Care Hospice. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials can be made to Cherry Street Baptist church, Attalla, AL in remembrance of Pinky. The body will lie in state for 2 hours from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral at 3:00 p.m. at Village Chapel Funeral Home.
